Portal / Email / Blackboard During On Boarding Employees will receive their myMU account information when they are first hired.

 


Username / Default Password Format

Username Format

Students

  • Typically, the first 7 letters of their last name + first initial of their first name
    • Example: John Doe; doej and Archie Anderson; andersoa

Faculty / Staff

  • Typically, the first initial of the first name + their full last name
    • Example: John Doe; jdoe and Archie Anderson; aanderson

Password Format

Students/Faculty / Staff

  • first Initial + last initial + last 4 of SSN or Sevis ID + MU
    • Example: jd1234MU

First Time Account Activation

  • Enter your myMU username and default password.
  • On this page you will be required to enter a new and unique password to you.
  • On this page, you will enter a validation email. This will be used when you click on the Forgot Password link if you forget your password and need to reset it.
  • You CANNOT use your Misericordia email address. Please enter a personal email address that is NOT your Misericordia email address.

  • Click ‘Login‘ on the top right corner and login your myMU Credentials
  • At the bottom of the myMU tab select Change Password.

Students / Faculty & Staff

  • The user will enter their myMU username (without @misericordia.edu) and their validation email address.
  • An email will be sent to their validation email address with a link that will bring them to the Password Reset page.
  • Login to your alternate email account and look for the email from MU Notice. Select the link to complete your password reset, and to change your password.
  • Your password should be a minimum of 8 characters and should have at least one (1) capital letter, one (1) lowercase letter, one (1) number and one (1) symbol. You cannot repeat any of your previous three (3) passwords and you cannot utilize any part of your name or username
  • After resetting their password, they must update their devices that have myMU email and MU wi-fi setup, with the new password.
